We understand that not all family histories are straightforward and easy to uncover. You may have unknown parents or grandparents. You may have hit a brick wall when trying to find early African American records due to the legacy of slavery, or your family’s records may be missing, incomplete, or just hard to find. Anders Genealogical Services has the knowledge and skills to help you find the answers you’re looking for.   

Genealogy Research Packages

  • The starter package is best for new clients who are interested in beginning their family history research but aren’t quite sure where to begin.

    This package will:
    Start with a new-client consultation to review your information and come up with a plan.
    Organize any information you already have and begin a family tree
    Offer 5 hours of research on a specific ancestor

  • This package is a perfect option for clients who are looking for help locating and/or learning more about a specific ancestor or ancestral couple.


    Package includes:
    -Investigation of 1 ancestor or 1 ancestral couple
    (includes identification of siblings, parents, and children of focus person)
    -15 hours of research
    -Research summary with relevant documents
    -Recommendations for future family history research

    *This package can be purchased multiple times to build out a larger family tree.

  • This in-depth genealogical research package is designed for those who have a deep interest in their family history and are hoping to learn more about multiple ancestors along one family line.

    Package includes:
    -Investigation of up to 3 ancestral couples (on the same family line)
    -25 hours of research
    -Research summary with relevant documents

    *This package can be purchased multiple times to build out a larger family tree.

Additional Services

  • So you’ve taken a DNA test and now you have an ethnicity report and a list of DNA matches but don’t know what to do next. We can help you organize and sort through your DNA match list to better understand how groups of matches are connected to each other and to you.


    We will:
    -Review DNA information you provide and work together to identify known matches
    -Spend 10 hours on DNA analysis
    -Update your existing family tree
    -Provide a summary of relevant findings and next steps

    **Only rudimentary genealogical research will be performed to create ‘quick and dirty’ trees to help analyze DNA matches. However DNA Investigation can be added to other genealogical research packages for more in depth analysis.

  • Have you been researching your family history on your own? Or maybe you’ve inherited a pile of documents from a family member? If you’re overwhelmed, or you’ve stumbled across a challenge in your research, we can help. With this 1.5-hour session, we can work together virtually or in person to find answers.

    This option is best for people who:
    -Need help sorting through and organizing personal documents inherited from a family member.
    -Want to walk through personal research to look for holes while connected with an expert.
    -Want to learn how to look for records at local repositories.
    -Need help sorting through DNA matches with an extra set of eyes.

  • Enhance your family history with our Family Tree Verification Service. Perfect for amateurs seeking expert validation or those questioning an inherited tree's accuracy, we validate up to four generations, ensuring authenticity based on the records we discover.

    Based on source availability we will:
    -Meticulously investigate one family line, spanning up to four generations.
    -Confirm the accuracy of names, dates, and relationships.
    -Pinpoint and clarify any discrepancies in your family tree.
    -Provide a summary of our findings and verification

    *This service can be purchased multiple times to verify a larger family tree. No research into new relatives will be performed during this process.

  • The time frame for uncovering your family's ancestry can vary based on several factors, including the depth of research required, the availability of records, and the complexity of your family tree. While each project is unique, we aim to provide initial findings within a few weeks.

    Typically, the finished product, including comprehensive research and a family history report, is available within 6-8 weeks. We'll keep you informed of our progress and any anticipated time frames throughout the research process.
